What the Wallpaper Cost Calculator actually calculates
The tool multiplies your roll count by roll price and adds fixed paste, supply, and labor amounts. It does not estimate rolls from wall area or adjust for repeats, waste, preparation, or tax. Any such charges must already be represented in the amounts you enter.
The calculation path
Roll cost is combined with paste allowance and installation charges.
Inputs that can change the answer
- Wallpaper rolls: Enter wallpaper rolls as a number; use the definition in the calculation method.
- Price per roll: Enter price per roll in the selected currency; keep tax and included work consistent.
- Paste and supplies: Enter paste and supplies in the selected currency; keep tax and included work consistent.
- Installation estimate: Enter installation estimate in the selected currency; keep tax and included work consistent.
- Currency: Label for all entered prices; no currency conversion is performed.
Checks that stay outside the formula
Include wall preparation if the substrate is stained, glossy, or damaged.
A practical order for entering the data
- Determine the whole roll count from a checked wallpaper layout.
- Enter that count and the price for one roll in the same currency as your other costs.
- Add paste and supplies plus the total installation quote to calculate the project total.
Engine check using the prefilled sample
Worked example: wallpaper rolls = 6, price per roll = 42, paste and supplies = 35, installation estimate = 180 and currency = USD ($). Replace the sample wall and item dimensions with the exact section and product format involved in your layout.
